We realize our schedule is a bit different than what most people are used too, and sometimes we are asked about it. This is an attempt to answer the two most common questions we get. The two questions are "Do you have an evening service?" and "Why do you have this schedule?"
First, the 12:30 p.m service is equivalent to the "evening service" at most churches. Second, we have opted for this schedule for many different reasons. Here are a few of them. This schedule has helped create greater unity among our folk due to the built-in fellowship time each week. This schedule has made Sunday's more restful than a traditional Sunday moring & evening type of schedule. We no longer have to rush home, get a quick bite to eat, lay the kids down for a nap and then head back to church in the afternoon. This schedule requires only one round trip to church instead of two. The advantages of only one trip should be obvious considering our long cold, dark winter months and snowy/icy roads. The larger chunk of "free" time on Sunday's allows us to spend quality family time together and/or invite another family over on Sunday's. Again, this strengthens our families and helps build unity.
