OUR MISSION
- To Glorify God by evangelizing & equipping saints for a life of service
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to glorify God by evangelizing & equipping saints for a life of service by:
- Exalting & Praising Jehovah God for all His attributes
- Evangelizing the lost through actively proclaiming salvation and repentance of sin through Jesus Christ at home and abroad
- Encouraging believers to regularly study the Bible and then to be doers of the Word and not hearers only
- Edifying the Saints through expositional preaching and teaching of the inerrant Word of God
- Equipping the saints by rightly dividing the Word of truth
OUR VISION
Pioneer Baptist Church will flesh out our mission and purpose by:
- Exalting the Lord by routinely pointing out His divine attributes like love, mercy, grace, holiness, omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence.
- Evangelizing the lost at home and abroad by lovingly and compassionately, yet boldly preaching the good news of the Gospel to everyone we possibly can via the spoken and written word. We aim to get the gospel out via an active missions’ program, a local radio station and other outreach programs.
- Encouraging believers to regularly read, study, memorize and meditate upon God Word and commune with Him in prayer. We also encourage believers to regularly assemble together for a time of Bible study, prayer, fellowship and encouragement.
- Edifying the saints by preaching and teaching God’s Word in its context. Expositional preaching that is relevant and practical will build their faith and help them walk consistently with the Lord.
- Equipping the saints by rightly dividing the truth through a “normal literal, and consistent hermeneutic.” We further wish to equip the saints by employing them in various areas of ministry and giving them opportunities to go on mission trips.
OUR CORE VALUES
- We value the Bible because it is God’s primary way of revealing Himself and His will to mankind.
- We value prayer because it is mankind’s method of talking to God, and it reminds us that God loves us and is always near.
- We value clear, Christ-centered Bible teaching because it is balanced and avoids unbiblical extremes.
- We value doctrine because Paul told Timothy to take heed unto it. It will make a man stable and help him not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness.
- We value servants because Christ said we should serve on another.
- We value holiness because God said that we are to be holy because He is holy.
- We value other believers because they too have the Holy Spirit residing in them, and they are our brothers and sisters in Christ.
- We value all people because they were created in the image of God, and God loved them so much that He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross for their sins and our sins.
- We value orderliness because God is orderly, and He said we should do things in a decent and orderly manner.
- We value love because God is love, and He loves the whole world and told us that we should love one another.
- We value team work because some things are impossible to do by yourself. A team can accomplish more and go further than an individual alone.
- We value the gifts, abilities and resources God has given us, because no one person can do everything or has resources in hand to fulfill God’s work in this earth.
- We value faithfulness because Christ said it is required of all stewards.
